Welome to our boards. We're glad you've decided to register.
While this is a 'mostly' laid back atmosphere, there are certain areas that are in the 'really low mortality' area.
The Vamp debate forum - Trust me, you don't want to stray into here until a little after you've gotten to know some of the other posters. It's a hands down, un modded bitch fest sometimes. If you do wish to post some of your opinions, be ready to at least have a few people go the oppisite way about it. It's a forum what do you expect? lol
The Flame Forum - Bitching, whining, etc, so on and so forth. This is where people go to flame others. Don't post flame threads other than here. It's not a good idea. Also unmodded as far as I know. I don't wander in there too much. If you get flamed, you're on your own. Generally, it's best to take all flames with a grain of salt. Winning an argument is like winning the special olympics, after it's over, you're still retarded.
The Everything Else forum - There are two of these. Make sure you post accordingly to which one you're in. It a pain in the ass to deal with people bitching you out for a little mistake.
The Adult Forum - It's for adults. Don't post pictures. This IS a forum where people of all ages do wander through so keep it at least mildly censored.
The Other Forums - Just about everything else is good to post in. Without going into a long drawn out post, I'll just sum these up with a simple 'General discussion, music, etc, so on and so forth'.

People who will help you :
Just about everyone. If you need to ask questions, ask around, and if that doesn't answer your questions, go to a mod or someone who's been on the forum for a while. A few of us joined 2, 3, even 4 years ago.
The Owners:
Gothic Girl and Road Rash don't make many appearances anymore, so when they do show up, they are to be considered the Goddess and God. Rash has a temper so don't piss him off. :D
The Mods:
Fear them. Fear for your soul. Fear for your threads. If you post it, they will come. :) But most of all: They're people just like everyone else. And for the most part, all of the mods on GG are kick ass people.
The Posters:
We have a huge mix of people who post of GG. Ranging from Christian to Wiccan, and everything in between. While everyone has their own opinions, it's best to accept everyone as they are. Which, in my opinion, is better than simply tolerating them.

Some other tips:
Wander around and read a few threads. Read the FAQ because it's important, ask questions, explore.
Don't Spam.
Don't try to force your beliefs on others. (This will definitly get you flamed, not to mention laughed at.)
Have fun.
Check your work before posting, a few grammer nazis have been on the boards before and they're annoying at the most. Most typos are over looked but it's common courtesy to not type like this
-'so were r u frum' or 'DiS iS tHe bom yo'. That and it makes you look like an idiot. :)
And last but not least, Be yourself.
