Hello Everyone!
I am a new member here, I had an account when i was younger I believe I was 14. Now I am much older and still as gothic at heart as any. I wish to tell Everyone Gothic or "gothness" is not just the way you dress. People now and even I at one point believed it all was for the next outfit. Or my newest fake pair of fangs. Nonsense now to me. I realize if you are gothic as you may call your self. You are merely because you respect our subculture of nature, Not all this junk. I am not as you would call a darker goth I wear the colors i see fit act as I feel. No sulking, Well unless my husband forgets to give me something to appease the beast his wife may be. :) I remember so much from when I was younger the hallow feeling i got because i dressed out of the normal ideals. First day of junior high i walked up wearing my combat boots trip pants with chains and spikes my tripp shirt with the black lace up sides tied in perfect bows. Black lipstick and gray eyeshadow all designer by tripp. Because I thought this is how i want to dress why not go full out?!! My curlly hair tied into pigtails with black ribbons. I walked to my class listening to Marilyn Manson "This is the new Sh**" Then one boy stuck his leg out and I tripped and fell onto my face. he spoke one word that haunted me for years "Freak" I was horrified I was treated like this merely for how I dressed. As time went on more happened like that. But you know I never gave up my ideals. Dress how you wish! Have fun with it! And the most important. Never lie to yourself! Be true!
That is how I survived! I support us gothics and I believe we are more then freaks!
